Ways to get involved

Ready to join the effort that is reframing our community's response to homelessness? There are many ways to show your support and take action:

Show your support

If you haven't already, pledge your support to show that you are part of the movement to end homelessness. In addition to having your name listed as a supporter on this website, you can opt to receive updates and action opportunities via our e-newsletter and other resources, such as presentations.

Read and share our study

Changing the conversation about homelessness is one of the most simple and important ways you can get involved. Our Housing & Transportation Affordability Study is a great place to get informed and start spreading the word. Download it now and share it with your networks. Consider tweeting or blogging about it, or request copies for your workplace, church, or volunteer groups.

Share your skills and experience

Heart of West Michigan United Way's Volunteer Center is working with three community partners to provide unique volunteer opportunities for boomers and older adults to share their skills and savvy with this effort. These opportunities are targeted, skill-based roles ideal for volunteers age 50 and older. Learn more.

Bring your faith community together

Is your church or faith group looking for a way to be part of local change? The Congregational Partnership Program at GRACE helps connect the faith community with individuals and families to prevent homelessness. Through a unique partnership, your faith group will walk alongside a family as they work to maintain affordable housing. Learn more.
